Hi,
ich bin seit längerem am Umzug eines Servers am planen. Allerdings komm ich beim Backup der Mail-Accounts nicht weiter.
Ich habe ein ispCP am laufen und dachte ich versuchs einfach, indem ich die /var/mail/virtual/domain.org/* einfach in ne tar pack, und auf dem neuen server wieder entpacke... allerdings funktioniert das ganze nicht wirklich. Die Mails scheinen nicht auf. Rechte scheinen alle in Ordnung.
Hat mal jemand ne vage Vermutung, an was es scheitert?

Nein, es sei denn du postest etwas mehr Infos über deinen Server.

Okay, wie finde ich das Postfach Format heraus?
Und zu meinem Server: Es ist ein vHost mit Debian Lenny, ispCP 1.0.7
Der alte Server ist auch ein vHost mit Debian Lenny, allerdings noch mit ispCP 1.0.4 oder 1.0.5.

Das Postfach-Format steht in der Konfiguration Deines IMAP-Daemons.
Lenny und ispCP hilft uns nicht viel, da wir wissen müssen, welche IMAP-Daemons Du jeweils einsetzt und wie diese konfiguriert sind.

Du wirst doch wissen, was auf Deinem System installiert ist und wie es konfiguriert wird? Falls nicht, dann frage bitte Deinen Admin (root) danach.
