Einträge in xinetd.log

Hallo zusammen,
habe einen Rootserver bei 1und1 mit Plesk8.6. Habe seit einiger Zeit das Problem, dass die Partition /var nicht mehr ausreicht. Habe ca. 100 Domains zu laufen. Die xinetd.log wächst innerhalb kurzer Zeit auf knapp 100 MB. Was bedeuten diese Einträge, wann wird die Datei standardmäßi gelöscht?

Ist das bei QMail nötig, dass es über xinetd läuft? So entsteht ne Menge overhead, gerade wenn der Server stark ausgelastet ist mit smtp.
Falls nicht nötig, QMail als Standalone deamon starten.
