Postfix-Meldungen in separate Logfile loggen

Hallo,

Da ein sehr großer Teil der syslog von postfix ausgefüllt wird, möchte ich das gern auslagern.

In der etc/syslog.conf habe ich folgendes hinzugefügt:

postfix.*         /var/log/postfix.log

danach ein

Code: Select all

/etc/init.d/sysklogd restart



Leider wird aber keine /var/log/postfix.log angelegt, muss ich das etwa selbst tun?
Muss ich für jede Postfix Unterinstanz einen eigenen Eintrag in die etc/syslog.conf erstellen?

Nunja, so sieht die config bei mir in Debian Etch auch aus, habe nun auch den obigen Eintrag hinzugefügt...

Es gibt keine Facility namens "postfix". Entweder du benutzt "mail" oder eine aus "local1" bis "local6".
