Aber leider ist die Datei bei mir ein Ordner.
In dem gibt es zwar eine tmp Datei die passen würde, aber die bekomme Ich nicht ordentlich editiert.
Meine Tasten funktionieren nicht ordentlich. Weder die Pfeiltasten noch ESC usw.
Dadurch bekomme Ich die Datei weder mit VI noch mit MC bearbeitet.
Kann Ich noch irgendwie ein Tastaturlayout laden damit die Tasten stimmen?

OK, die Installation ist hiermit abgeschlossen.
Deine Meldungen beziehen sich sicherlich auf das Woody Script. Da dort aber in der sources.list wahrscheinlich einmal woody und einmal stable drin steht, hast du jetzt nen mischmasch von beiden Systemen.

Das Roothell Script lief bei mir einwandfrei durch. Nur bei Hetzner verlangt es einige anpassungen per hand:
1) Die /etc/networking/interfaces muss per Hand gesichert werden vom orginal installieren System bei Hetzner, das Rescue System hat andere Netzdaten wie das Produktivsystem.
1) lsmod | awk '{print $1}' | grep -v Module >> /mnt/debian/hda3/etc/modules.conf damit auch die richtigen Kerneltreiber geladen werden, sonst hängt sich die Kiste mit nen Kernel Panic auf
3) apt-get install kernel-image-2.6.8-11-amd64-k8-smp sonst wird das nix mit 2 GB Ram.
4) Mittels mkinitrd die Ramdisk neu erstellen, der Server hängt sonst beim Booten
Sind kleinigkeiten die aber bei fehlenden Reset Service wirklich zu nervigen Sachen ausarten können.
Ich habe vorhin versucht mit dem debianinstaller auf einen strato server zu installieren. Das scheitert aber daran das strato kein sh mehr hat in dem neuen rescue system. beweis dafuer ist folgendes
