Htaccess geht nicht

Hallo,

habe eine *.htaccess und *.htpasswd angelegt:

htaccess:

Auth Type Basic
AuthName "Mitgliederbereich"
AuthUserFile /home/httpd/vhosts/linux/.htpasswd
require valid-user


htpasswd:
cologne:tJEnGA2Nfbeis

Mit dem Befehl:

htpasswd2 -cd /home/httpd/vhosts/horde/ansel/.htpasswd cologne

Folgende Meldung ist im Apachelog:

[Sat Sep 24 23:56:06 2005] [alert] [client 82.135.66.75] /home/httpd/vhosts/horde/ansel/.htaccess: Invalid command 'Auth', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration

Nur hab ich keine Ahnung warum

ist es möglich die HTACCESS abfrage nur auf eine subdomain zu beziehen?

Ach meinst du dass hier:

AllowOverride None 

das Problem ist, dass das verzeichnis das gleiche ist.

Nur die eine Subdomain soll die abfrage machen und die andere subdomain nicht.

aus dem bauch: du koenntest versuchen, die beiden subdomains als "unabhaengige" VirtualHosts's einzurichten (und nicht eine nur mit ServerAlias anzugeben), und dann in beiden VirtualHost Direktiven, die Directory konfigurieren: einmal erlaubst du das ueberschreiben, und einmal nicht. Das _koennte_ funktionieren, ich glaub's aber fast nicht... try it out =)
