HD einfach weg ?

ich hatte folgendes Problem:
die HD hat sich im normalbetrieb (suse 9.1/rootserver) einfach verabschiedet und war selbst mit den rescue-system (debian) nicht mehr auffindbar.
Nach dem der service die platte wieder einhägte fand ich über das rescue system zahlreiche fehler und ein backup scheiterte kläglich.?
leider konnte ich die logs nicht mehr sichern.

kann dafür ein einbruchsversuch verantwortlich sein ?

Ne , habe ja ein neues system aufgezogen und bis jetzt läuft es fehlerfrei.

ein hardwarefehler auf der platte hab ich mit dem neuen system nicht gefunden.

möcht ich ja gerne, aber smartctl ist leider bei mir nicht installiert

ich habe die partitionen mit fsck.ext3 -y und efsck2 getestet.
muss mal das paket nachinstallieren, nur heute nicht mehr.
