gibt RAM nicht mehr frei

Ich habe eine SuSE 9.0 root server

P4 @ 3Ghz
2x 1Gb RAM

auf deisem läuft:

apache 1.3
php 4
frontpage extension
jakarta
mod_perl

sendmail


Das Problerm ist, wenn man den Server enugestartet hat, dan hat man 1,8GB frei

aber für jedne weiteren Webseiten aufruf, verwendet der Server einen neuen Speichebereich, so das er nach ein paar stunden den RAM komplett zugemöhlt hat.

auch wenn man dne apachen beendet gibt er den RAM nicht mehr frei.

woran aknn das liegen.

und ls -lh /proc/kcore gibt immer 920MB aus ???

wie kann das sein???

du meisnt sicher wenn man:

cat /proc/meminfo eingibt ???

tja das problem ist das er meist nicht über 500MB geht und wo bleibt der Rest???

der Cache ist es nicht und der Buffer auch nicht.

irgent etwas an der Höle mölt sich zu, bzw die Speicherverwaltung hat einen weg.

Im endeffect stürtzt der fast ab, da er kein RAM mehr hat.

der Apache und der Sendmail produzieren dan bloß noch timeouts.

da hilft denn bloß noch ein Neustart.

Du hast keinen HighMem-Support im Kernel

2. Caching ist ein vollkommen normales Verhalten unter Linux (siehe dazu auch den FAQ-Eintrag).

3. Wenn du einen OOM bekommst, hast du vermutlich ein Memory-Leak in einer deiner auf der Kiste laufenden Applikationen.

zu erstens: wie kann man das überprüfen?? ist das suse 9.0 standartkernel

und 3: mutti mutti was kann ich da gegen machen??

bzw was könnte es sein (die fu frontpage extension ?? )???

wobei zu sagen ist das der apache 45-50 mb benötigt und jeder unterprozess nur 1-2MB

da der ja shared memory nutzt.

der httpd brauch zu stoßzeiten ( über 1000 afragen die Sekunde) gerade mal 100MB ram

Schau dir deine "Buffers"- und "Cache"-Werte noch mal bitte ganz genau an, danach lies den FAQ-Eintrag.

zeigt mir den Fehler doch wenn ic hwas übersehen sollte ??

MemTotal: 2061156 kB == 2048Mb

MemFree: 56576 kB ==55,25MB
MemShared: 0 kB
Buffers: 77284 kB == 75,47MB
Cached: 470592 kB == 459,56MB


459,56+75,47+55,25=590,28MB

2048-590,28=1457,72MB

das heist es sind 1457,72 MB belegt duch Programme oder sehe ich da was falsch??

Sorry, aber irgendwie wiedersprechen sich deine Ausgaben doch etwas. Nutz mal "free" statt /proc/meminfo, dann sehen wir mal weiter.

1457,72MB solle ndruaf gehen für programme, aber nur 50MB tuhen es.
