Hast du SASL auch wie unter http://www.dbmail.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=smtp_auth beschrieben "richtig" konfiguriert?

Du musst sasl patchen, damit es gecryptete Passwörter aus ner DB lesen kann. Standardmäßig gehen nur cleartext pws

mhm, anscheinend gibt es wohl doch ne andere Möglichkeit und zwar die hier:
