Bis gestern hatte ich auf meinen Server noch Gentoo laufen und wollte nun, hauptsächlich aus Stabilitäts- und Sicherheitsgründen, auf Debian Woody umsteigen.
Also hab ich die Installation zunächst einmal mit meinem Homeserver zu Hause durchgespielt und es hat auch alles gut funktioniert.
Der Server macht allerdings Zicken.
Nach der Installation aus dem Rescue-System und dem anschließenden Reboot ist er einfach nicht mehr zu erreichen.
Erst hab ich gedacht es liegt an der Netzwerkconfig und wollte mir die Log-Dateien aus dem Rescue ansehen, doch oh Wunder die Logs sind leer bzw. zum Teil garnicht angelegt.
Das lässt mich vermuten, dass der Server nicht dazu kommt Debian zu booten und womöglich irgendwas mit dem Bootloader nicht stimmt oder falsch konfiguriert ist.
Ich hab auch schon Einiges an der lilo.conf rumprobiert, aber ich bekomm den Server einfach nicht zum Laufen.
Und jetzt hoff ich natürlich, dass mir hier Jemand den entscheidenen Hinweis geben kann, warum der Server nicht so funktioniert wie er soll.
