mySQL und MySQL Control Center zum Zusammenspiel bringen

Hallo,
vielleicht kann mir jemand helfen da ich bei der mySQL Administration noch nicht so fit bin.

Ich habe auf meinem lokalen RedHat Rechner xampp installiert. Läuft auch bestens!

Nun möchte ich von meiner Windows Kiste auf den mySQL Server per MySQL Control Center zugreifen. Bei jedem Verbindungversuch erhalte ich jedoch folgende Fehlermeldung:

ERROR 2003: Can't connect to MySQL server on '192.168.000.100'(10060)

Kann jemand etwas mit dieser Meldung anfangen?

Habe hier auch schon im Forum nach einer Lösung gesucht, aber nichts gefunden was mir helfen würde.

Die my.cnf sieht wie folgt aus:

Ist der Port denn offen (netstat, nmap)? Lautet die IP-Adresse tatsächlich 192.168.000.100? ;)

der server läuft im intranet, daher stimmt die adresse.

netstat zeigt den port 3306 nicht an.

was kann ichnun einstellen damit dies funzt?

hab noch ein bisschen an der my.cnf gespielt und nun kann ich connecten....
