Backup von root Server

Ich habe einen root Server bei Puretec. Diese bieten ja auch eine Erweiterung für Backup an. Nur ist mir das einfach zu teuer.
Meine frage ist, was kann man machen, damit ich mir das wichtigste Backupe?

Meine Hompage sicher ich mir von Hand. Auch meine SQL Datenbank.

Was nutzt ihr so für backup Möglichkeiten? Vor allem automatische?

Was sollte ich alles sichern von SuSE, wenn mal die HD defekt werden sollte?

ich könnte dir "reoback 1.0" empfehlen. Einen Link habe ich momentan leider nicht dabei, aber die Suchfunktion des Forums bringt dir sicher einige gute Hinweise - soweit ich sogar noch weiss, ein Torturial?

Meiner Meinung nach ist "Reoback" konfortabler, ich habe mir das eben angeguckt - aber ich bleib bei meinem System...

Inwiefern komfortabler? backup2l ist insofern komfortabel, als dass ich es aufgesetzt habe und es läuft.
unter komfortabel verstehe ich 'set it and forget it' - und so was wie GPG-Verschlüsselung kann reoback nicht, ich habe da auch abgewägt.

Für mich war nur wichtig, dass es einfach ist und dass es auch auf einen externen FTP sichern kann. Eigentlich hat ja jeder eine andere Ansicht - umsonst gäbe es auch nicht mehrere verschiedene Linux-Distributionen :-D

Ich habe das mal mit reobck ein bischen getestet.
Ich bekomme aber bei jedem Backup folgende Fehler Meldung.
Was bedeutet das?

Gibt es denn das Verzeichnis, wo reoback hinsichern will überhaupt?

Hat es die richtigen Berechtigungen?

Das Verzeichniss gibt es. Er sichert ja auch.
Ich habe ganz am Anfang den Fehler gemacht, das ich die erste Sicherung gelöscht habe. Ich habe so das Gefühl, das er diese sucht. Kann ich das Backup zurück setzen? So das er dieses vielleicht nicht sucht?

Oder was könnte es noch sein?

Habe das Problem gefunden. Er mag keine / nach File.
