Hallo,
ich hab in letzter Zeit andauernd Probleme mit den Umlauten und Sonderzeichen, wenn ich durchs Rootforum surfe.
Egal ob ich im Firefox UTF-8 einstelle oder ISO-8859-15, sie werden niemals korrekt angezeigt. Bei UTF-8 sieht es so aus als wären es windows-1252-kodierte Zeichen, bei ISO-8859-15 wirds noch schlimmer. Mach ich was falsch?
(Firefox 1.5.0.2 unter kubuntu Breezy)

Vielleicht update von dev-db/mysql-4.1.14 auf dev-db/mysql-4.1.14-r1? Dann wieder 4.1.14 einspielen und !=dev-db/mysql-4.1.14 masken...

Fehler gefunden: Gentoos letztes PHP-Update (dev-lang/php-5.1.2-r1) ist buggy.

Merkwürdig. Ich hatte sowas auch vorgestern, da war aber MySQL Schuld (s.o.). dev-lang/php-5.1.2-r1 dagegen funktioniert bei mir einwandfrei. na das ging ja schnell. Aber hinundwieder werden einige Umlaute als schwarze Kästchen angezeigt, das allerdings auch auf anderen Seiten. Woran kann das liegen?

Die Seite wird ja in UTF-8 ausgeliefert. Sollte dann nicht im <Form> Tag noch ein accept-charset="utf-8" stehen?

Sie hätten es zumindest (wie üblich) vorher (ein zwei Wochen hätten ja gereicht) ankündigen und/oder mit 5.0.2[01] ändern können. Zudem fehlt noch immer eine vernünftige, einheitliche und dokumentierte Lösung für Clients (es ist ja nicht nur PHP betroffen)...

Also bei mir sind bei Umlauten immer noch Vierecke mit Fragezeichen drin. Irgendetwas stimmt da noch nicht, vor 1-2 Monaten lief noch alles ohne Probleme :-)

Die betroffenen Posts wurden vor der Umstellung des Forums und der DB auf UTF-8 verfasst und (noch) nicht vollständig konvertiert wurden.
