Fehler bei PHP-Compilierung

Moinsen. ich versuche schon die ganze Zeit mein PHP auf 4.4.0 upzudaten. Ich hänge aber seit einer Stunde an folgender stelle:

configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C++ compiler cannot create executables.

Da fehlt wohl das gcc-c++ Paket

laut Yast ist die version 3.3.1 INstalliert
