Kann mich bei ProFTP nicht einloggen

Ich habe Proftp nach Debianhowto installiert. Ich kann zwar den FTP-Server erreichen, er verlangt ein Passwort, schmeißt mich dann aber raus, weil das Passwort falsch ist (530). Ich habe das Passwort des Benutzers (ist in der Gruppe ftpuser) schon mehrmals geändert, aber es klappt nicht, auch wenn ich mich direkt auf dem Server mit ftp servername verbinde.

Das ist meine Konfig-Datei, abgesehen davon, dass bei ServerName der richtige Servername steht.

in der Zeile "Default Root ..." steht nach "~" eine Leerzeile, das hatte ich vergessen. Damit hat sich das Problem erledigt.
