Server stürzt täglich ab..

hallo.. ich bin echt am verzweifeln! Habe einen root Server bei Strato. Habe seit dem wechsel zu strato nahezu täglich einen absturz des Apache. Nach einem Hardwarecheck kam raus das es sich um einen RAM defekt handelte. Der Server wurde komplett ausgetauscht und habe jetzt einen neuen der seit ca 1 Woche wieder in Betrieb ist. Trotzdem hat sich nichts geändert.. die Ausfälle sind immer noch da.. und ich weiß echt nicht woran das liegt.. Auf dem Server sind 3 kleine Homepages drauf und ein Chat.. Hauptsächlich dient der server als Chatserver. Der Chat war vorher auf einem server der nur halb soviel Leistung brachte und dieser Server ist nicht ein einziges mal abgestürzt. Deshalb denke ich das es nicht am Chat liegen kann. Habe mir mal einen Auszug aus den Los beigefügt und hoffe mal es kann mir jemand helfen...

Das merkwürdige ist: Vorer is der Server immer so zwischen 20:00 und 23:00 abgestürzt.. nach dem Serveraustausch immer so gegen 14:00 Uhr.. also die Uhrzeiten liegen immer sehr nash beieinander....

Versuch mal den neusten Apache zu installieren, da war mal so ein Bug im Apache 2. Wenn das nix hilft, Apache 2 runter und den alten Apache mal versuchen. Ich glaub die Bedenken an den Apache 2 sind berechtigt und das man nicht wechseln sollte im Produktivsystem.

Es scheint so zu sein, daß der verwendete Chat (GTChat 0.95) die Probleme bereitet und auch mit einem aktuellen Apache 2-Webserver nicht zusammen arbeiten wird.

Unter http://www.gtchat.org/support/board/Bla ... 008442,q=0 findest Du die folgende Aussage:

"GTChat 0.95 not work correct if hoster installed Apache 2, large time limits - not fixed problem. If use Apache 1.3 - chat works ok".

Und das ist genau das Problem, das Du in Deinen Logfiles wiederfindest: Timeouts vom Apache 2 und anschließend haufenweise beendete Child-Prozesse des Apache 2.

Es hilft wohl nur die Empfehlung, GTChat 0.95 nur zusammen mit dem Apache 1.3.x einzusetzen. Aber ob es generell sinnvoll ist, eine Software einzusetzen, bei der die letzte Version am 4.8.2002 veröffentlicht wurde (zusammen mit dem Hinweis des Entwicklers, das es sich um eine Alpha-Version handelt), bezweifele ich.

Wie sieht es mit einem Tracert zu deinem Server aus? Ich habe auch einen Server dort mit GTChat und eigentlich keine Probleme nur das manchmal das Routing bei Starto unter alle S... ait. Dabei bewerben die diese Server als Gameserver und da erwarte ich auch Pingzeiten unter 150ms
Zeitweise dauerte es sogar 2000ms
In letzter Zeit hat es sich gebessert. Ich verwende Debian da Suse zu anfällig ist.
