WWW-Server ist nicht zu erreichen

Hallo,

ich kann seit 5 min. meinen WWW Server nicht mehr erreichen. Eben ging noch alles aber jetzt lädt er endlos. Der Support sagte bei Ihm das gleiche "Muss wohl am Server liegen" Das war alles :-(

Per SSH komm ich drauf, ich habe den Apache auch schon neu gestartet. Wurde mir per DONE bestätigt. Aber der Server ist nicht zu erreichen.
Im Error-Log steht zur aktuellen Uhrzeit nichts drin. Der letzte Eintrag ist von heute 8.49 - kann robots.txt nicht finden.

Sogar FTP läuft. Laut TOP ist der Server zu 10% ausglastet. Das kanns auch nicht sein. Festplatte ist ebenfalls nicht voll sondern nur zu 14%.

Was kann das sein?
Welche Logs soll ich posten damit Ihr weiterhelfen könnt?

Mit Echtdaten wäre dir etwas beser zu helfen.
Wenn du den apache stopst und wieder startest. Was spricht dann ein

EDIT auch schon einmal den apache gestoppt und dann geschaut ob er wirklich komplett beendet wird?

Schau doch bitte mal nach ob der apache wirklich beendet wird wenn du ihn stoppst (nicht restarten).

Und dann paste mal die wichtigsten Teile der entprechnden logs wenn du ihn startest?

doch chris ... die einfachste möglichkeit 100%ig ohne Ausnahmen sicherzustellen das alle Prozesse einmal beendet wurden ;) ... außerdem ... vlt. hat er ja Windows mit etwas merkwüdiger Dateistrucktur... er hat ja nicht gesagt was er drauf hat :P

Also den Server hab ich noch nicht restartet, ist aber mal eine Idee.

Wenn ich den apache stoppe:
rcapache stop
und dann starte
rcapache start

wird mir beides mit DONE bestätigt

und ich bekomme im

errorlog: KEINE NEUE MELDUNG
rcapache.log: KEINE NEUE MELDUNG

Welche Logs braucht Ihr noch?

Ich habe den Server jetzt neugestartet und siehe da er funktioniert. :-)

Besten Dank euch allen für die schnelle Hilfe. Mich würde aber dennoch interessieren woran das lag?

- Gibts sowas wie altersschwäche?
- Sollte ich den Server (Hardware) mal austauschen?

Eine Fehlersuche ist IMHO durch den Serverneustart schwierig. Man hätte dem ganzen auf den Grund gehen sollen/können als es nicht ging.
Ich für meinen Teil vermute mal, das das apache stop dir zwar mit done bestätigt wurde, aber immer noch irgendwelche alten Prozesse rumhingen.
