error_log:child pid xxxx exit signal Segmentation fault (11)

Hallo,

ich habe meine Homepage gestern auf einen Rootserver umgezogen. Die Seite funktioniert zwar soweit ohne Fehler, jedoch ist sie sehr langsam. Eigentlich wollte ich mit dem Umzug genau das Gegenteil erreichen.
Wenn ich einen Link anklicke, dann dauert die Reaktionszeit sehr lang (5-10s), der Ladevorgang geht dann aber sehr schnell.

Ich hab die var/log/apache2/error_log kontrolliert und folgendes gefunden:

min 10x pro Minute:
child pid xxxx exit signal Segmentation fault (11)

Die pid´s wurden, soweit ich es sehen kann, von httpd2-prefork aufgerufen. Hier endet mein Latein....
Für Hilfe wäre ich sehr dankbar.

Ich find's echt traurig von 1&1, dass sie immernoch dieses offenbar fehlerhafte Image aufspielen (ist über zwei Monate her, seit ich es "bekommen" habe). Soweit ich weiß, konnten einige Leute das Problem lösen indem sie PHP neu (selbst) kompiliert haben - aber die genaue Ursache scheint trotzdem nicht wirklich bekannt zu sein.

danke für deine Antwort. Ich werde es jetzt mal versuchen, php selbst zu kompilieren. Ich werde mich melden, ob es Auswirkungen hat. Wenn noch jemand eine Idee hat, wäre ich sehr dankbar für jeden Hinweis.
