1und1 Root Server startet nicht mehr die xte...

Hallo,
ich habe seit Juli einen Root-Sever Start bei 1und1. Nachdem ich es eine Zeitlang liegen lassen habe, habe ich mich nun daran gemacht, Typo3 zu installieren, hat alles wunderbar funktioniert. Die erste Website ist fast fertig. Gestern nun habe ich in der httpd.conf einen Zusatz eingebaut. Dann habe ich, weil noch nie gemacht, das System über das 1und1-Config-Menu neu gestartet und komme seither nicht mehr rein. Ich habe nun die Ã?nderung nach einem rescue boot in der httpd.conf rückgängig gemacht, aber das scheint der Fehler nicht gewesen zu sein, denn der Server meldet sich nach Normal-Boot immer noch nicht. Ich habe die Log-Files überprüft und finde keinen Fehler. Die Hotline hilft mir auch nicht weiter. Ich habe das Forum hier durchforstet und diverse Tips versucht.
Ein httpd restart bracht eine Fehlemeldung "failed to resolve....". Den Tip habe ich auch befolgt und die IP eingetragen danach gab es mit httpd restart keine Fehlermeldung mehr. Ach ja, ich habe den KK noch nicht durchgeführt, da ich erst die Site komplett lauffähig haben muss.

Ich bin schier am verzweifeln, und weiss mir nicht weiter zu hefen. Soooo tief gehen meine Linux-Kenntnisse (noch) nicht. Es hat eine Menge Nerven gekostet, Typo3 mit allen notwendigen Optionen perfekt zum Laufen zu bringen und auch die Typo3sache war nicht ohne. Würde ungern den Server in den Ausgagszustand zurückversetzen lassen, da ich noch keine Datensicherung gemacht habe. Und die Zeit drängt...

Ist es unverschämt anzufragen, ab einer von Euch Linux-Cracks mit meinen Zugangsdaten mal versucht das Ding wieder zum Laufen zu bringen? Ich glaube nicht, das es eine grössere Sache ist. Würde mich auf irgend eine Art gerne erkenntlich zeigen.

Bitte genaue Fehlermeldung und Auszug aus dem error_log
Ansonsten spiel dein Backup der apache-config ein..

Ich krieg ja keine Fehlermeldung. Der Server lässt sich nicht anpingen und Putty kriegt auch keinen Kontakt. Nur im Rescue Modus.

Die Apache-Logs sind für dein Problem erst mal komplett uninteressant, wichtig wären die Systemmeldungen (/var/log/messages) des normalen Systems, also im Rescue erst die Platten mounten.

Hallo Bernd,

was sagt denn die boot.log und boot.msg ?
Ich tippe auch auf den VIA Netzwerkkarten Fehler.
Sprich es wird der falsche Kernel geladen.

Wo find ich die Interface-config

und was muss ich ändern damit eine "valid-interface-name gefunden wird"?

Wenn du Suse hast unter YaST --> Netwerk --> Grundkonfiguration.
Eine andere Möglichkeit ist auch mal in die Datei /etc/modules.conf zu schauen, was dort überhaupt für ein alias drinsteht.

Ich kann YAST nicht starten, vielleicht wegen des Rescue Modus.

in der modules.conf steht über eth0 folgendes:

ist das falsch? habe da nie was geändert, wie könnte ich auch.

Wie kriege ich Yast zum laufen im rescue Modus? Normalerweise geht das, allerdings nur wenn ich mich über Putty "normal" einlogge, aber das geht ja nicht :cry:

So, ich habe jetzt alles durchstöbert, auch wie beschrieben den Linux-Kernel überspielt aber den Netztwerkkartenfehler habe ich den Fehler
Could not get a valid interface name: -> skipped
immer noch.

Ich will jetzt über Yast die Karte aktualisieren - hab aber keinen Plan, was ich da eingeben muss

unter Available are:
Other (not detected)

Allready configured devices steht:
Ethernet network card
Configured as eth0with DHCP

Muss ich jetzt unter Configure das ändern? Was muss da stehen?
