Debian installation | problem gleich am anfang
Hallo,
ich habe mich entschieden Debian auf meinem 1und1 Rootserver zu installieren.
Habe mich als Root eingelogt und debian-installer.sh runtergeladen.
Wenn ich ./debian-installer.sh eingebe kommt folgede Meldung:
-bash: ./debian-installer.sh: Permission denied.
Was habe ich falsch gemacht bzw muss ich jetzt machen?

nochmal eine Frage.. nachdem ich die partitionen eingeteilt habe begann er scheinbar die Installation, hat aber weiter nix nachgefragt.

Wenn ich installiere bekomme ich das was da steht, mehr leider nicht, und so geht es laut dem howto net weiter und ich wüsste auch nicht was ich machen sollte :(

Kann es sein, dass du dann den Resue-Mod nicht neugestartet hast, da die ganzen Ordner etc und einträge schon existierten, wenn man dann nochmal neu im Rescue-Modus startet, sind alle Einträge weg, und dann kannste nochmal von vorne anfangen!

Beschäftige mich leider erst seit 2 Tagen mit Servern/Rootservern/Linux, wie komme ich denn in den Rescue-Modus?

Da ich aus geheimen Informationene erfahren habe, dass du ein Root-Server bei 1und1 hast, musste dich in das Webinterface einloggen,

Dann wählste deinen Vertrag aus, in dem Falle den Root-Server XL und gehst dann auf "Server-Verwaltung" in der Navigations-Leiste.
Und dann da bei Recovery-Tool.
Dort musste dann auswählen, "Im Rescue-Modus beim nächsten Booten starten, und dann Reset anklicken, musst ein paar minuten warten, und dann wieder mit SSH einloggen, die das passwort zum Root-User kannste dann unter Server-Info bekommen.
Dann fängste mit dem Howto nochmal ganz von vorne an!
Ps: Findeste nicht, dass der XL-tarif für nen total-Anfängern icht schon nen bisschen übertrieben ist?

Muss ich nur einmal im Rescue modus starten und im rescue installieren oder dann wieder in den normalen wechseln und dann installieren?

Du musst für die ganze Installation im rescue modus sein!
Da liegt dann wohl auch das problem, wenn du das setup-script unter deiner normalen Installatrion ausgeführt hast, sind die daten immer noch da.
Also die installation komplett im Rescue ausführen!

ok, nochmal kurz howto:
zuerst im rescue starten, das setup-script ausführen...
wenn alles glad gelaufen ist, natürlich auch wieder im normalen Modus starten. Sonst nützt es dir nichts... Dazu dann wieder von Rescue-Mod auf Normal - Booten bei Recovery-Tool einstellen.

habe die Installation nun fertig, ja wie wunderbar.
Aber im gegensatz zu meinem alten Suse habe ich folgendes Problem.
- wie gehe ich mit "vi" um, also wie speichere ich ein textfile
- wget gibt es auch nicht mehr, wie kann ich nun etwas runterladen?

Kannst auch mal folgendes probieren:
Ansonsten installiert dir einfach mal "joe". Das ist auch ein guter Editor. Vor allem etwas mehr "userfriendly"...

... nur ist dieses "scheisss script" schon auf zig Rechnern (inkl. meinem eigenen) ohne jegliche Probleme durchgelaufen ... das Problem sitzt halt meistens eher vor der Tastatur ... ;)Fazit: scheisss script

Meine Installation bircht mit der Meldung

Ich habe die Platten gemountet, das Script nochmal gechemoddet und dann losgelegt.
