HILFE - der Server fängt an zu swappen und crasht

Hallo liebe User.
irgend etwas stimmt nicht. Ich kann kein script finden welches den Ram voll macht.
Wenn ich das ganze mit top beobachte, ist es der User wwwrun der den Ram voll macht. Obwol ich mit php über fcgi alle user als z.B. "vu1234" sehe wenn sie scripte ausführen.
Ich habe jedoch folgendes in der /var/log/warn gefunden (Bin nur zu doof es zu deuten)

Zunächst muss ich etwas meckern, denn Du hast offenbar seit mindestens einem Jahr keine Updates eingespielt. Deine Kernel-Version enthält beispielsweise eine Sicherheitslücke, welche vor genau einem Jahr gefixt wurde und das aktuelle Verhalten erklären könnte (aber nicht muss).
Daher würde ich Dir erstmal nahelegen umgehend ausnahmslos alle verfügbaren Updates einzuspielen und nach einem anschliessenden Reboot zu beobachten, ob diese Crashs anhalten. Danach sehen wir dann weiter, gegebenenfalls bitte mit neuem Logauszug und wenn möglich auch einer top-Ausgabe zum Zeitpunkt des Crashs.

mhhh. ja, ich muss zugeben, ich bin ein verfechter der theorie "never change a running system" oder so (verdammt ist das spät heut) jetzt laufen gerade 456 Updates durch den zypper. Mal schauen, was es bringt.

"never touch a running system" bedeutet lediglich, dass man keine grundlegenden Änderungen am System vornimmt, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Bugfixe, insbesondere Sicherheitsupdates, waren schon immer die erste Ausnahme bei "never touch a running system".


Dein System @Home hälst Du ja auch aktuell und das System hängt nicht 24/7 mit 100MBit/s direkt im Internet und ist permanenten Angriffen ausgesetzt.

jetzt kann ich nur nicht mehr mod_layout installieren :-?
HILFE - Keine Quellen mehr weder rpm noch source

Schritt nach vorne, nutz eine aktuelle distro.
Oder such beim Anbieter, vermutlich opensuse, nach dem passenden Repository und binde es in Yast etc. ein.
02:32:12 21.12.2012 und dann sind Deine Probleme alle unwichtig.

mod_layout wird seit Ewigkeiten nicht mehr weiterentwickelt und auch die Projektwebsite ist futsch. Ich konnte zwar folgenden Download noch finden, aber wie lange es den noch geben wird ist fraglich.
http://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/gentoo/dis ... 5.1.tar.gz Kompilieren musst Du allerdings selbst.

Es wäre besser sich von mod_layout dauerhaft zu trennen.
