Login von SSH verweigert??

Hallo,
ich habe die gepachte version von sshd installiert: chrootssh.sourceforge.net. Das kompilieren und installieren hat problemlos geklappt. Auch eine Verbindung auf den neuen SSH Server kommt zustande. Nur das einloggen schlägt fehl:

In den Log Files finde ich dazu nichts wirklich interessantes:

Hat jmd. schon damit erfahrung gesammelt, oder weis jmd. woran das liegen könnte?

Also auf meinen Kisten kann ich mich auch nicht mit "andre" anmelden. Strange... :?
Mal ernsthaft: vermutlich wirst du wohl einen Fehler bei der Konfiguration gemacht haben, und ohne Logs etc. wird man dir wohl kaum helfen können.

wo finde ich denn noch tiefgehendere Logs dazu? Icb hab alles durchsucht und konnte nichts auffälliges finden :/

Es scheint so als interessiert Ihn mein Passwort gar nicht was ich eingebe. "Failed none for invalid user andre from 84.171.79.186 port 12045 ssh2" kommt schon bevor ich das Passwort eingegeben hab!

Ja.. das ist ja das komische. Egal mit welchem Benutzer ich es versuche die Meldung erscheint.. :(

Loggst du dich in ein chroot-Environment ein (wegen chrootssh)? Hast du das chroot-Environment richtig erstellt?

nein, ich logge mich in kein chroot ein. Das ist ein ganz normaler Shell Benutzer. Später sollen dort auch chroot Accounts erstellt werden.

ich habe gar kein AllowUsers eintrag bei mir.. also daran kanns leider auch nicht liegen! Ich bin echt Ratlos!

leider auch keine großen erfolge.
Nun steht folgendes in den Logs:

habe es mal auf einem anderen Server installiert. Dort funktioniert der Login:

Probier doch mal, ob Du über einen Schlüssel ins System kommst.
Aber beim flüchtigen Draufschauen kommst es mir so vr, als ob der neue ssh-Daemon ein Problem mit PAM und/oder dem Zugriff auf die Passwort-Datei hat. (wenn es die User wirklich gibt)

könnte es irgendwie daran liegen das der SSH in ner falschen Datei nach dem Benutzer sucht, oder vllt. nicht auf die Passwortdatei zugreifen kann?
